Are You a Secret Agent?

I am completely amazed when other Realtors ask me about my car magnets, advertising, real estate shirts etc.  I am constantly asked if these things are effective and would I recommend they try the same?

The answer is no!  Just because it is right for me, doesn't mean it will be right for you.

If you have to ask, then don't do it.  Not every Realtor wants to be recognized by potential clients or other Realtors.  Not every Realtor wants to be bothered by people trying to buy or sell homes.  If that is you stay stealth.

I on the other hand hope to have the problem of being constantly bothered by folks looking for a Realtor.

Just be sure to carefully switch them around occasionally and not let sand get underneath them. Noting worse than seeing discoloration and scratches under those signs when you move them. I used to always have them on my car doors.

I’d rather just wear my REALTOR pin now.

No secret agency here!  I very rarely leave the house without a logo shirt, logo visor or nametag.

For the car mags, wash and wax the car and clean the car mags on both sides.

I have had no problem with the paint.  My last car had them on for three years and this one since the first of the year.

Secret agent here!!!!  LOL!  I don't even know where my nametags are nowadays.  Ha-ha that is so bad.

I do think if people ask you though, it might just be a way for them to start talking to you.  Trying to break the ice.  You may come off the wrong way by saying that if it's right for me it may not be for you.  You know us realtors, all sensitive and stuff.  : )

Just a thought.  I know there are a lot of times we get misunderstood or misinterpreted.  That or egos just get in the way.  We dont want that to happen...

Michael,  Just a little sarcasm for those agents who are looking for someone to persuade them to market themselves.

Monika, I heard you should wax the back of the magnets before sticking them on the car. This saves your  paint! :)
