Cindy - Giving back to the community is something we should all try to make some time to do. I'm so glad that I did. I'm anxious to help Walls of Hope with one of their future projects.
Melissa - It was waaaaaaaaay cool and an experience I'll never forget. It was exciting to meet Debbie as well. I've always been a fan of hers - way back to The Painted House days.
Sally - The headboard is really neat isn't it? When we were first putting up the circles, I had my doubts, but once it was finished and the whole room was pulled together, it looked great.
Cathy - You're welcome! Yes, it sure was an adventure.
Susan - There were a lot of great people that worked on this project. It's nice to have the pictures to look back on now. Meeting Debbie was a bonus!
Tom - It sure was awesome!
Elizabeth - Sera was very deserving. It was very emotional for everyone when it was reveal time.
Valerie - LOL! It was pretty exciting to meet Debbie and yes, Igor was every bit as nice in person as he is in Restaurant Makeover.
Virginia - It definitely was a great experience. I don't think Debbie's latest show All For One is airing in the U.S. She has had previous shows such as Facelift, The Painted House and From the Ground Up. If you ever get the chance to watch one of her shows, you should.
Ginger - You're welcome. It definitely was a great experience.
looks like you had a great time, very interesting headboard.
sounds like a fun - and very rewarding time - for you and the others involved. thanks for sharing your experience. great photos to capture it all.
i once met Debbie at a book signing at Sherway Gardens years ago.
Tori - Yes, I did. The headboard is very different, isn't it?
Sandi - It was a very rewarding experience. That's neat that you met Debbie.
Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes look at this great project! Isn't TV fun?!
How cool and fun was that!? Love the photo journal Charlene!
What a cool memory to have and cherish! Thanks for sharing the pictures! Congratulations! When we did a small 10 minute segment for a local TV channel here in the Twin Cities in 2009, it was so much fun, no famous personalities to work with, but just seeing what goes on behind the scenes was fun! It took 9 hours of taping to get the 10 minute segment....of course they were showing a complete staging project of a living room/dining room of a house condensed just a bit! LOL Thanks for sharing!
Julie
Debra - Yes, being involved in this was fun, but the work sure is a lot harder than it appears to television viewers :-)
Karen - It was very cool!
Julie - It sure gives you a different perspective from behind the scenes, doesn't it? I imagine it's a pretty tough job for the people trying to condense it for TV.
