I've Been Tagged By The Biker Chick!

June Tassillo just tagged me in what is a really cool and fun post. This is a great way for us to get to know one another better on a more personal level. I'm going for it and I hope my AR friends whom I have tagged will play along as well!

What is YOUR Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) is 2011. I'd also like to know more about you, and your background, what is it about you that makes this BHAG so important?  What experiences are you bringing with you into 2011 that will make this BHAG work? So I'm asking you to please share 5 or 6 things about yourself, and then tag.

I grew up in Lindenhurst NY. My parents bought their first home when I was 10. I graduated from the Lindenhurst Senior High School in 1984. I'm 45 so don't even bother getting out the calculators! Ha!

I've lived on Long Island all my life. I have a Brother, Eric and no other brothers or sisters. Everyone in my family is still alive and kicking and healthy. My Mom is 68 and and kick my butt, lol. I love my Mom.

My son is 15 and can probably also kick my butt. He stands 5'9". I am very proud of him. He beats to his own drum. Doesn't do peer-pressure and never did. I guess we did something right! He has a cool hobby. He collects celebrity autographs. Writes to the celebrities and gets, most times, authentic autographs. He loves it. It keeps him balanced.

I love Long Island. Every Winter I want to move somewhere warmer. But I can never picture actually doing it. This is my home and most likely forever. But, you can never know what the future will hold!

I've been blogging on Activerain since 10/2009. I was searching for a blogging site for real estate agents and, well, the rest is history. I have met some of the nicest people here in the 'rain. People that I can call friends.

My Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) for 2011 is to make sure everyone that I will be working with this year will be happy with my services. Sure I have to earn a living. I'm not worried about making money. I know that will happen. Helping people accomplish their goals and cultivating these relationships are important to me. I'm hoping 2011 is going to be better than 2010! Let's hope the real estate market across our country will get better as well. I have a lot of colleauges struggling because their local real estate market is struggling. I am hoping this year will be the turnaround year for them!

Sounds like you're on the right track for 2011, Jackie. The way to success in the future is to provide excellent service and news of that will spread via personal contact and social media.

Love these MeMe's and BHAGs!  So you've lived on "the island" your whole life?  

When I moved from Florida to Atlanta to go to colllege at Emory, I meet a lot of folks that said they were from "the island".  Probably was, being from the south, I was like, "what the heck are they talking about?"  The only island I knew was Marco Island?  LOL.

Thanks for sharing!  Great goal and I know you will get there.  If you take care of your clients the money will follow.  It's much better to be building a strong referral business for the long run!

Jackie...what a cool idea.  I don't know many people on Active Rain, just my good friend Cindy Edwards that turned me on to Active Rain.  Yesterday I wrote my very first blog and it wasn't as scary as I imagined it would be.  I think your BHAG for 2011 is great.  I think as long as our clients are happy and satisfied our business will continue to grow.

Hi June :) I'm proud to call you biker chick. I think it's awesome that you ride and ride very well. I couldn't handle the bike itself. My son has close to 1300. Most of them authentic. Some are when their secretary signs it and he can tell, lol. It's an incredible hobby!

Hi Kim, See, all you have to do is jump right in. You'll bet better over time. I still have problems thinking of things to write about besides market reports. I was sick for 10 days so blogging wasn't easy. I'm better now so I gotta get back in the game!
