I love the English Thesaurus: "Passion: fervor, ardor, excitement, enthusiasm, zeal, delight..."

Where Does Your Passion Take You?

It's interesting, the many posts on political issues--sports teams--gun laws--border patrol-- talk shows--etc. etc. etc.

People take a stand. Some louder than others, more colorful than others, more stubbornly than others, but they take a passionate stand.

Others spread happiness and sprinkle enthusiasm like a contagion - the kind of folks people gravitate to, the kind of folks that make things happen.

What is your passion?

Have you found it?

My daughter, a sophomore, comes home from school many a time, upset because the school counselors want her to name her career path. (Like we have life figured out at 15) SOME do, which I find amazing, but I've read somewhere in statistics that we change "careers" 7 times in life. So much for a life path.

What I tell my daughter, is, "Find Your Passion".

What excites you, lights your fire, makes you want to get out of bed in the morning?!

I find avid golfers amazing! Take golfing vacations - How can someone enjoy golf all those hours, and then get up and do it again the same day?

Actors and actresses - what compels them to stand in a cattle call audition for hours?

American Idol contestants - They assemble in stadiums to try out!!

Politicians - Willing to stand on their soap box, meet the public, suffer the media for what they believe in.

Airport ticket takers - You know, I've met some of the friendliest folks in the parking booth, willing to share a smile and a quick story before I go on my way - the power of passion for life is infectious!

That's passion. Just a few examples mind you, but unadulterated PASSION.

Passion fuels our zest for life and if we're lucky, we bring it to our jobs and into our lives on a daily basis.

Do you have passion for your career? Your family? Your hobbies?

I love my career in Real Estate. I'm only six years in, starting my second year full-time, but I've got passion, yes I do -- I've got passion - how about you??

Wow! Cara, this comes with perfect timing. I was just telling a friend that she has an incredible passion for life. I am working on mine and the examples you posted are a wonderful reference. When it comes to my career though, I am full of PASSION! I absolutely LOVE what I do!!! I have found that just like your examples... it doesn't matter what you do, as long as you have a strong passion for it.

The enthusiasm is contagious! I was just talking to someone about passion the other day I was criticized recently by a friend who said I was 24/7 with business and should really turn it off but real estate is my passion and it excites me....well on most days LOL

Karen - I so agree with your words. Chronic complainers have always been a pet peeve - if you don't like your life, your job, your relationship, your kids, your ________, MAKE A CHANGE!!

Marilyn - love the story. I don't see anything wrong with 24/7...lol. :) What's more exciting than real estate??
