Dow Falls Short of Closing over 12,000

Just like the playoffs, the champagne bottles were iced and the victory tee shirts were ready.  Unfortunately, as New York and Chicago just experienced, the Dow fell short of closing over 12,000 today.  Although surpassing the milestone several times during the day, the Dow closed at 11,985 with a gain of only 8 points. Tomorrow intitial jobless claims and durable goods orders will keep the prognosticators busy.
