I Learned A Little Something About Backlinks...I Can Help Your Website And You Can Help Mine
Wow, It's the day for re-blogs for me, which is unusual, but Karen really hit on a good point here.

Having backlinks is vital to your exposure of your online presence. Finding those back links can be a challenge. I have a huge network of clients that I can draw from but for the individual it can be hard to find.
This is an excellent way to get back links to your site. BUT remember when you link to your site, you are using your KEYWORDS!!! Like this: Maricopa Short Sales and not just your URL. Google will pick up on your keyword, analyze it with your site and associate it with your keywords.

I had a call yesterday with a SEO expert about my website...I need more traffic and am working on that. She spent some time analyzing what was going on and said one thing my new site needed was more one-way backlinks from related websites. Oh, ok....how do I do this?
The suggestion was so easy that I was shocked.
She said that I should find some real estate professionals I like (for instance here on Active Rain) and make comments on their outside blogs. So I go to your website and make a comment. That creates a backlink to mine (when the comment section asks me for my url). That helps my site....but here's how it helps yours.
She also told me to make sure and use the keywords you are focusing on in your blog post to reinforce your Google Juice. And even better.....Google considers a comment as fresh material to your website. So by just commenting, I add to your Google ranking.
