Android Poll Concerning Your Favorite Apps

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Carousel Realty of Dyer County Tn 248435000

As a new Android X owner I am like a sponge trying to gather up information to help me better utilize my Droix X. I am a former crackberry addict and not sure yet what I will be called using this Droid.

This is a poll to find out your favorite apps that you have downloaded and are using on your Droid phone. I downloaded a bar code reader and a bible app and Realtor.com. I also downloaded the flashlight app which I used today looking into an attic while showing a house to a client.

I really appreciate you sharing your apps with us. It might help also if you can display the barcode for that app to make it easier for us newbies.

Mike,

Enjoy your Phone!  That little flashlight is one of my favorites!

Get a mortgage calculator.  I have Karl's Mortgage Calculator and like it.

HandCent SMS to send texts to multiple recipients.  I like the interface a little better too.

Bump, for trading contact information with other smartphone owners.

Lots of news readers and sites.

Flixster for movie reviews, times, trailers.  Easy!

CSS, Centralized Showing Service is our showing scheduler.  Good app for me.

I would do a google search for the News and Weather Genie app. its not on the market because its a stock app that comes with the HTC phones. Its hands down the best news app you can get for Android. Send me an email and I can send it to you.

Android Agenda Widget - its on the marketplace and its completely free. syncs with your google calendar and its super easy to add appointments. Its hard to beat when you can just swipe to one of your home screens and your todo list is right there.

Swype keyboard is excellent if you havent used it already. it might take you a day or two to get used to it because your learning how spell words again by learning the path you will be dragging your finger. Good thing the system is smart enough to predict what you want most of the time. Swype holds the world record for hand held text speed.

Mass Text Personalize is a great way to mass text groups of people on your contact list.

Tone Picker the fastest way to adjust the volume for all the sound options you have on your Droid.

PhoneUsage - to track your talk text and data usage. You can set limits and on the paid version you can have it give you alerts when u approach your limits.

Tapemachine - The best sound recorder on android I have used so far and I have compared quite a few of the other paid sound records out there. such as Livo Recorder and HiFiCorder.

Springpad is a nice do it all notepad type deal that also lets you save different items not only notes.

AutoDesk Sketchbook Express is a great drawing tool for quick sketches

Hi Mike.  So sorry I haven't gotten back with you about about the Droid.  I am still learning so much about my phone.  I being able to talk and my messages are transcribed into the phone.  Very cool.  I also like the daily Bible verse app.

I have an iPhone but some of the apps are available on both. I like BUMP, Dragon Dictate, Sly Dial (trust me, it comes in handy at times)... Photoshop.

Mike - I have an iphone, and I resist loading too many apps to my phone. However, I do plan to buy an ipad soon, and that's a different story. But back to the phone. I use it primarily for e-mail and voice. I do have the facebook, twitter, and wordpress apps on it.

I'll  say timeriffic for scheduling ringer on a set time, like after 6 and at office meetings...

Springpad is a fav for notes. Zipforms comes in handy if you need to write a contract.

Tweetdeck for twitter, facebook touch. qrdroid is good too, and for me, both qik and youtube are a must...

Mike, I'm new as well but a few of the APPS I have found useful to date are GoogleMaps Navigator, Poynt, Driodin (Linkedin), and Barcode Scanner.  Good Luck.  Also if any one knows of an APP for Outlook I would like to sync my Outlook Cal.

Mike, I have an iPhone, but my favorite 5 are...

Bump--allows you to sent a photo to another iPhone by simply "bumping" the two phones together.

Dropbox--allows you to access files you have stored there from any computer (or smart phone)

Cardreader--reads business cards and puts info into Contacts

Yelp--find anything in your area

HeyTell--turns your phone into a walkie talkie with another phone user. Messages are real voice, but sent and charged as a text message.
