Downtown Living Near Food and Fun

By
Real Estate Agent with RLAH@properties AB95346

When I first moved to Washington, there was nothing cool about downtown as a place to live.  In fact, there wasn't much to do at all other than take a bus or Metro to a downtown office.

No longer!

The area around Chinatown and the Verizon Center has come to life over the past decade.  There are not only lots of galleries, theaters, restaurants and shops, but there are some pretty amazing condo choices.

Whether you are looking for a 500 square foot pied-a-terre or a 2000 square foot penthouse, it's all down there.

Here are some samples of downtown Washington DC condos that are for sale today.

If you are planning a move to or from the Washington, DC area, I can help!  Call, email or text me at:

Hey Pat.. that pic of the pagoda thingy is dear to me... 20 years ago I drove a concrete truck, in DC, I poured the concrete for one side of those pillars that support that what ever you call it that spans the steet.

I've not thought of that in 20 years, not till I spotted your photo, thanks for the memories! Driving a truck fed my family through the 80's

Pat, that is very cool! I am loving the pagoda thingy there, just looks so different compared to the buildings in the background. We just don't have anything like that here, LOL.

When my best college buddy moved to DC (a long time ago, longer than I'll admit)  he lived around Dupont Circle.  My favorite place was Adams Morgan (I think that the name??).  After all, at the time we were already aging hippies!

Patricia, it is awesome to be so close to so many things.  How do you choose which restaurants or sources of entertainment to visit?

Hi Pat... I remember living in DC back in the 80's how run down and dangerous that area could be.  It's so nice to see how vibrant it seems to be once again!
