It's nice to see the community come together for Maria's cause. Hopefully this post will bring even more attention to Maria's plight.
Oh, I have a heart... it's right over... uh... I left it right.... maybe it's over.... hmmm..?
Hi Jane, Maria is a silly goose, I like the way she inserted herself in the video! LOL I hope the relationship with Dominic will continue, I had no idea geese could live for 40 years!
Jane,
MacArthur Park kind of has a disco ring to it. Nonetheless, change does break up some relationships, oddly enough.... g
Leilani, this is getting to be a problem this bird phobia. I didn't realize it was so rampant.
Jim, wasn't it just.
Dorie, it certainly does. Hopefully Maria will find a home she likes.
Craig, one can only hope.
Alan, it took me a while to realize about what you were mumbling. It hit me in the middle of the night. I have corrected it. Thank you.
Mary, neither did I. She is a cutie isn't she.
Gordon, there was a song about Macarthur Park. "Someone left the cake out in the rain...."
I love this story, Jane! That love story is great and I hope it can continue even during the renovation. When I was very little, my grandfather used to take me to Echo Park Lake to feed the ducks. I have many photos of me as a 2 or 3 year old at that lake.
Jane - awesome and heartwarming story. Hopefully, Dominic will continue his daily walk with Maria at Maria's new home...
Jane - I really home Maria finds a safe home during construction, what a personality.
Susan, that is cute. Would make a great little post piece.
Peggy, I hope so.
Michelle, isn't she just :)
Well, I hope nobody swipes her, or worse . . . I used to own a goose. Well, 2 of them. They were very cute when they were babies, but when they grew up they honked. Like at 4 AM when my neighbors came home drunk and woke up the whole neighborhood. Hey, it wasn't my fault.
Elizabeth, LOL. There is a house in Santa Monica which has roosters. Can you imagine that noise at 4:00 a.m.
What a lot of fuss over a goose! Surely someone will give her a good home. You can send her to me!
Growing up on the ranch in Montana....when we first moved there ( I was really, really little) we bucket fed calf. It got to where it would come to the door to wait for it's bucket of milk.
Needless to say, when it came time to send her to market...she didn't go! This story reminds me of that.
What a great friendship indeed!
Georgie, I will certainly recommend it. She would love to waddle on the Maui beaches.
Thom, I would certainly hope not, Thom. Yep, this is a match made in heaven.
Jane, it seem like the powers that be could do the restoration in two parts, half of Echo Park first then the second. Ahhh a man and his goose...hmmm.
Nick, great idea. But not sure you can drain half a lake and the problem is it is so polluted it wouldn't really be healthy for poor Maria.
Sheldon, I can imagine you running around with a goose following you... Oh, you meant real clients.
Scott, you are a busy bee today with your catch-up. Thanks for taking the time.
