Hi All,
I just wanted to let you all know, that I was born and rasied in Brooklyn NY. I lived there till I was almost
30. I moved down to Gulfport, Mississippi because my (now ex)wife was from Slidell, LA and we wanted someplace close to her relatives, but more importantly, close to the water. I have been down here now since 1992.
I love this place, the people are warm and friendly. They love a good time, and we have so many things on the coast.
For example, we are open 24hours 7 days a weeks with multiple casinos that bring in entertainment all the time.
We have a ton of great golf courses,
We have the Gulf of Mexico with wonderful seafood
We have New Orleans and its fun only an hour or so away
We have beaches, boating, horse back riding, casinos, food, and more things coming.
We have Keesler Air Force Base, The Navy CB base, Stennis Space Center, NOAA, and more all stationed here.
The Gulf Coast offers opportunities and Growth.
I am the managing Broker of Gulf Coast Realty, and 90% of the people I deal with are born and raised right here in Mississippi, and they are bright, funny and open minded. They may kid me about my accent, but they are people I like and respect and I believe that they recipricate that feeling without prejudice of my being a "damn yankee" (that's a yankee thats from the North, but stays down south)
So what I am saying is that a big city person from New York, can find that people are the same in the north and the south. Are there good and bad people here? -sure-but the majority are just regular people, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast is someplace people should stop by and visit no matter where they are from, to see this little gem on the gulf.
