The Kodak Paper-less Challenge is one challenge that is going to be extremely easy to participate in since our office at Charles Rutenberg Realty is a paperless office! If we have a contract that is to be submitted to the office we have the option of taking the contract to a fax machine and faxing it to the office or my personal favorite, having the entire contract in the computer and with the help of my My-Fax account, I send that e-mail as a fax to the office. It is ALL paperless!
Working at Charles Rutenberg Realty has reinforced things that I had started doing long ago! When I write a contract, I do everything online! Then I save the file to my computer documents. From there I can attach the contract to e-mails and send it to clients. The only problem is that they print it out, sign it and then scan it back into their computer to e-mail it back to me.
Mid-Florida Regional MLS gives us the opportunity to use Forms Simplicity. This is something new for me and I am planning on taking the training in March. With Forms Simplicity I will be able to create my contracts online, e-mail then to clients and let them sign them ELECTRONICALLY! I find that extremely exciting!! That will make my files totally paperless from start to finish!
I also use Fox Readit to alter my pdf files. That way I do not have to print the paper out and fill it out by hand. That is another way to reduce paper.
In addition to all of that, all of my photos are paperless since I have recently purchased a new Nikon Coolpix 3.0. Whether writing a blog or sending a brochure, it is all done digitally and paper is not needed.
We all need to embrace the wonderful world of technology and go paperless! Our forests will thank us and so will our children and grandchildren since they will then actually have forests left to walk in!
"This post is written as a submission to the ActiveRain & Kodak Paper-less Challenge contest. I have the chance to win the high speed KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner, great for helping real estate professionals reduce their stacks of paper by scanning contracts, photos and business cards in seconds."
