I know this is not Speechless Sunday or Motivational Monday or Wordless Wednesday.
But these were taken in my backyard of Beautiful Southern California in Simi Valley.
We occasionally have a few cold days here. We have a storm that passes by and most of the time it leaves us without this beauty.
Our elevation is between 700 to 1000 feet and we are about 20 miles from the Ocean to give a bit of perspective so it is not often we get this.
The first set was Saturday February 19th. A day after the quick storm we had.
The next picture is heading toward the North end of the San Fernando Valley, about 30 miles away, that is more North than Simi Valley. Rare that we see these mountains touched but a great day indeed.
The last set was Sunday February 27th. I could not pass this up. It was bitter cold, for Simi Valley, California, a blistering 34 degrees. Rarely do we here the news state that we "might see snow as low as 1000-1200 feet". I wanted to wake up and see dusting in my backyard but it was only covered in the mountains in the not too far distance. Not quite Simi Valley but a beauty none the less.
So I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did.
