David: What a mess it must have been. Just another example of how dependent we all have become on things like Google Gmail. Yikes !
Thanks for your comments, it wasn't the end of the world for me, I run my domain email through Google Apps, the gmail was a remnant of a decade ago when I was learning SEO, since then I've gone through a dozen domains , half dozen different niches (sold web hosting from a dedicated server for a time)
I made the move to local SEO in 2008, discovered you can't change which gmail account your Adsense is tied to..ditto for your first youtube: once you associate a youtube account to a gmail account it is FIXED
can't change it (just like you can't change a Facebook vanity url once you choose one)
moral of the story: all is well, birds are singing again, flowers blooming, my adsense check is still in the mail and my youtubes and Bloggger Supporting Business Blogs are still ranking in Google
I can rest easier tonight
David,
Thanks for introducing your blog to me through Facebook!

Glad you got your Gmail back, I thought I had a lot of email, your Gmail has just shy of 49,000 emails stored!
And thanks for pointing out that Gmail also has a "my documents" built into it, that's kind of cool, I didn't know we could store our Word documents in the cloud.
