Attention Westchester homeowners, this one's for you. Kathleen has a great link for those of you interested in recycling and shredding. This is perfect timing given that so many are doing spring cleaning right now.

Now that spring cleaning is underway, you may find it necessary to dispose of personal and household items. To accomodate that activity, Westchester County, NY has set up the 2011 events schedule for recycling. The events include :

a mobile shredder which allows destruction of personal and confidential documents (residential documents only; not small business materials).

household material recovery: on two days in April, automotive fluids, polish, preservatives, electronic waste, medications, and much more will be accepted.

Debbie.. These are some good ideas for cleaning up. There is a company called Shred-It, that will take your bulk items to shred too. Didn't know if you knew this.

I know of companies that will go to businesses and shred stuff on site. But never heard of a mobile shredder to come by your house! Great idea...
