30 Days of Marketing Opportunities - Day 4
My goal is to write 5 days per week for 30 days. So I've started this series that I hope to motivate me to write. 30 Days of Marketing Opportunities will give you 30 projects or tasks that your Virtual Assistant can handle on your behalf, generating leads that will ultimately generate more income for you! These are tasks that do not require a lot of high-end skill but, instead, require some time (hence the reason your Virtual Assistant should handle these tasks, not you!) and attention to detail. Join me on the journey!
Day 4 - Take Advantage of Holidays
Are you taking advantage of holidays during your marketing activities? Most don't and that's a shame because holidays offer such a fun and easy way of taking advantage of something that going to happen with or without your input. So why not input? :-)
One of the biggest drawbacks that real estate agents give me to making use of holidays in their marketing is that they don't see how to tie it into real estate. Here are some examples of how you can incorporate holidays into your marketing efforts and keep the real estate angle:
* May - National Recommitment Month - Recommit to Becoming a Homeowner
* May 6 - National Tourist Appreciation Day - Take a Tour of Our Beautiful City Day
* May 18 - No Dirty Dishes Day - Arrange a tour of homes with dishwashers
* June 18 - National Splurge Day - Splurge On Something Great Day - Become A Homeowner
* June 28 - Insurance Awareness Day - Home Owner's Insurance Can Change Your Life Day
* July 2 - I Forgot Day - Because of the Market, I Forgot I Wanted To Buy A House Day

You can also select months versus days. For instance, October is Fire Prevention Month. Remind customers and clients to check their fire extinguishers and have a safety evacuation plan.

That's awesome, Kristal! Knowing how you are going to grow your business - the steps you are going to take or processes you are going to implement - is almost as important as making the steps and implementing the processes. If you don't know how you're going to get there, you'll never get there!
Those are perfect, Cindy! What's better than marketing that gets noticed? Having FUN while you're marketing!
That's a good idea, too, Mike. You could do fire prevention and safety, in partnership with a local fire department.
- Great exposure
- free event for the community
- get businesses to sponsor hot dogs and juice (so no cost to you)
- advertise the event in the local papers (because it's free, no cost to you)
- Set yourself up as the real estate professional who cares!
