Nestled in the shadow of the new Vitruvian Park development in Addison, Texas, is a small condominium complex: Brookhaven Townhomes. With only 39 units, the condos are a well-kept secret.
All of the units are 2-story townhouse-style condos, with two and a half baths and the bedrooms on the second level. End units have 3 bedrooms. Middle units were originally constructed with two bedrooms up and a 2-story atrium open to the sky. Some of these middle units have had the atriums enclosed and a third bedroom added above the enclosure. Each unit has one carport space. The complex, with its own pool and clubhouse, was built in the 1970s.
There are 9 buildings at Brookhaven Townhomes. Building A has just one unit; B has 2; I has 3; C has 4; H & F have 5; G & K have 6; and the largest building, D, has 7 units. The condos get their name from the original name of the street, Brookhaven Club Drive. The street was renamed to Vitruvian Way when UDR purchased 100+ acres nearby and began redeveloping the area to the north and east. The legal description is Brooktown (the "brook" from Brookhaven and the "town" from townhouse).
Assessed values at Brookhaven Townhomes (according to the Dallas Central Appraisal District) range from a low of $83,070 to a high of $108,000. But you get a lot of space for the price. The 2 bedroom units are 1373 square feet, while the 3-bedroom units are 1597 square feet.
Units at Brookhaven Townhomes don't come up for sale very often, but if you'd like to be notified when they do, let me know and I'll contact you when there is one for sale.
