If you are employed as a law enforcer, fire fighter, teacher, or emergency medical technicians and you are looking to purchase a home, HUD has a great program geared just for you!

HUD has a program called the Neighbor Next Door, this program allows teachers, emergency medical technician, and fire fighters to purchase homes at a substantial discount of fifty percent off the purchase price of eligible properties. When I looked a month of so ago, there are only 4 properties listed in the entire state of GA. Sounds like VA may have more availability.

Rodney, I just left Ga a year ago and they head a big supply of HUD homes available, market must have picked, good for HUD. My clients have received some great deals through them.

Debbie, this program has been around for a while, I am sure it will be here when she is done with her education, so make sure you look into it.

Drick, I have recieved three calls from old postings about these programs two in Georgia and one in South Carolina.

I've had clients submit bids through this program. Only a few homes are in the program and there have been far more bidders than available houses. So no success for my clients yet. But for those who are successful, it is a good deal.
