OK, Here we are, DAY 21! 21 Days to Break a Bad Habit. And I did it! I broke that bad habit!
The benefits of breaking THAT particular bad habit? Let's see, I have about $300 more in just 21 days. I weigh about 9 pounds less. I think that's a full size smaller!
I did all the steps. I told friends, I got accountability partners, I replaced my bad habit with good habits. And here it is: Day 21. No more bad habit. It was THAT easy! Actually, it was broken after 3 days; and I enjoyed the company of my accountability partners so much that I continued on. I shall probably continue on indefinitely.
So, now, I'm looking around, saying, what other Bad habit can I break??? One Down. Just 9,999 to go. OK, maybe that's a slight exageration. Very slight.
Could I break the bad habit of keeping a messy car? You know what that's like; you go to a networking meeting, people hand you stuff, you put it in the passenger seat, throw your water bottles behind the driver seat. And VOILA! MESSY CAR! (This is not a pic of MY car; My daughters are out of the Juicy Juice Stage.)
I have the systems in place to keep my car tidy; wonder if I could utilize those systems for 21 days to keep my car tidy? How can I get my new Mercedes if I don't take care of what I have. Any takers for an accountability partner?
Could I break the bad habit of not implementing the learnings from the seminars I attend? ANY one of the seminars I've attended could make me a multi-millionaire, if only I would be consistent in applying them. It's like money, flying out the window!
Any takers there for an accountability partner to IMPLEMENT learnings?
And we could just have a 21 Days to a New Undertaking accountability group. I actually like that idea. Because my bad habit may not be YOUR bad habit. And we could just have successive "new undertakings"! Progress, not perfection!
