I managed to be "gifted" a pair of Benefactor tickets and a parking pass to the TPC on Saturday, which was awesome! We had big brunch a a friend's house (complete with omelet station & DJ), prior to getting on the course. The weather on Saturday was predicted to have a 40% chance of rain, so we needed to think about our destination, as our Benny tickets gave us access to the Benefactor Tent, the Turn, and the Clubhouse.
Cabrera had hit a shot on 18 almost into the pathway as we were walking by, so we stopped to watch him shoot his way out. The skies were threatening, but we figured we had enough time.
We managed to get into the clubhouse before the rain started, and while the bar was at capacity (what else do you do during a rain delay?!), shortly after we arrived, about 12-15 people left, meaning we got in. I didn't get to see much other than the Cabrera shot, as we had a 2-3 hour rain delay on Saturday.
Sunday was GORGEOUS! In the mid 70's, and we got seats on 17 to watch the run; a mother osprey high in a pine tree, with one baby's head peaking out (I tried to get shots with my phone, but they are blurry), and we just basked in the great golf and the fabulous weather (which is still here today, I might add).
That's where I was this past weekend: In the rain and the sun, and had a great time - hope everyone else did too!
