The other sunday morning in class the teacher(former missionary in Africa) mentioned a small child in Africa needing a life saving operation that cost $400. One of the brothers there had sent him a letter asking for this help.
Loy then sent around a picture of the 3 year old child and that sealed the deal. Loy told me yesterday that the class had donated $1168.00. He also told me if it was ok by me then he would use the balance to help others there and he was returning there next month for a few weeks.
He sent all those in the class who helped a personal letter thanking us for the help. He also had a scripture on it.
"Do not work for the food that perishes, but for that which abides into eternal life, which the Son of man, whom God the Father has certified, will give you(John 6:27).
