Today in Bentonville, AR lots of folks, including yours truly, gathered on the town square for the kick off of the seasonal Farmer's Market. Add to that the ribbon cutting and dedication of the new and improved WalMart Visitor's Center complete with short speeches by Alice Walton and her brother Jim Walton, and other local dignitaries. Add live music. WOW it was FUN! The dedication of the Visitor's Center is the culmination of long months of work refurbishing the historic Terry Building on the square. That's a huge deal. I think all local citizens will agree the Bentonville Square shines like never before. It was a great time, even the SUN showed up for the festivities.
The Farmer's Market is awesome and you can buy organically grown beef and lamb, fresh local honey, veggies, fruit and berries, baked goods, kettle corn, locally made jewelry and crafts, even fresh crepes from vendor who pulls his 'restaurant' with a truck.
I'm just saying life is good here in Bentonville in the middle of America!
