Homeschool Family- Shining Moments Sharing Our Homeschool Journey
Homeschool Family- Shining Moments Sharing Our Homeschool Journey
Homeschooling is much different - with all the support system they have - and with Internet, it's even better.
My kids are already grown up - but we have almost had 'home schooling', monitoring them all through, checking their homework, helping them at home with homework. Most Asian families have this trend.
Nestor & Katerina- Congratulations to you for taking such an active roll in your child's education. I often wondered how home schoolers addressed the physical education and team sports. Thanks for sharing this and can't wait to see the photos of the baby alligators!!!
You know, I had not met a lot of people who home schooled their children, but now I am seeing it everywhere I go! Our neighbors home school their children and I just happened to be in VA Beach a few weeks ago when there was a convention. In addition, twitter has opened my eyes to a whole new way of education.
Glad you had a good time!
Home schooling is the best decision we ever made. I love, love, love home school conventions. Can't wait to see your photos.
Homeschooling is something that definitely takes a special person or special circumstances. Due to husband being public school teacher, we felt it was hypocritical to home school our kids. Plus I'm pretty sure I don't have that personality.
Susan- I know so many public school teachers who stopped their teaching jobs to teach their children at home because they did not agree with how the public school system works. :)
Nestor and Katerina, congratulations on that homeschooling convention! I know your son will grew a better person and a better citizen of our Country because of your guidance and love. Can't wait to see all of your photos!
Praful- I have traveled to most of the world. I lived in Hawaii for 5 years and have worked in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and have been to the Philippines. When I lived in Seattle most of my real estate clients were Vietnamese. I know the Asian culture quite well and totally admire their amazing zest for learning and healthy work ethics. I have hoped to instill this in all of my children and I think we have with most of them. They are ALL good stewards, good citizens and productive contributors to our society. Katerina
Kathy- I am working on those photos tomorrow night and hope to have the alligator post up before Wednesday;)
My husband and I have homeschooled our children for all but one year of their education. It is the most fantastic blessing for our family. And our career as Realtors allows us the flexibility and income to open the world to them. Glad to see other families riding this wild roller coaster!
Hi Katerina - have also been to the Gaylord Resoirt at the entrance to Disney World and am amazed at the customer experience that is delivered.
While RVing in the late 90s, I was surprised to see how many families in million dollar coaches were traveling the country home schooling their children. It was also a revelation how many young professionals were on the road discovering the wonderful country we live in, the USA. I thought this life was for retired people....N O T
Recently, in my marketing group, one of our youngest entrepreneurs, age 15, told us his story how he made $3000 in 48 hours with video marketing...the catalyst... skate board park. His older brother and father would arrive to school one Wednesday out of every month to take this young man out of school to attend our high powered marketing events. The school adminsitration always protested. The father took the young man out of this environment and now home schools his son. Watching him blossom and fulfill his young dreams is proud moment as he now considers us his metors. He raves about the home school process.
I believe most brilliant minds are bored with the archaic industrialized syllabus still being offered to our children...who are our future. For us to remain world leaders we must move into IT and fast.
I homeschooled my son through the entire 12 years of his schooling, he just graduated Cum Laude from a very difficult private college and is an amazing child! :) Good luck to you.
WOO HOO JOY! What an accomplishment!!! Is that not the best feeling as a parent!!!!
