Mission of Mercy provides free basic medical care, dental care, prenatal care, physical therapy, and free prescription medications to the uninsured. They use a mobile medical clinic and volunteer healthcare professionals. Mission of 
Mercy seeks to “restore dignity to all people by being an instrument of healing through Love, and by the reciprocal sharing of God’s mercy with those we serve.”
And they’re fueled by donations. Mission of Mercy does not accept government funding, so they are not hampered by government red tape that they feel subjects people to “the degrading experience of having to prove their poverty.” All funding is provided by private contributions from individuals, foundations, corporations, service organizations, churches, and special events. Charity Day for Mission of Mercy at Brewer’s Alley
On this coming Tuesday, June 7, 2011, Brewer’s Alley will donate 20% of its proceeds from the entire day to Mission of Mercy. What a great idea! Enjoy a great meal with family, friends or co-workers and support a much needed charity.
