Kindred Spirits in the Rain. I've been asked a few times about my reference to Kindred Spirits. If you've ever watched any of the 'Anne of Green Gables' series, you know exactly what I'm talking about. For those of you who haven't had the lovely pleasure of seeing a clip, here's my definition of a Kindred Spirit (KS)...
A Kindred Spirit... is someone you feel an instant connection with. You can laugh with them and cry with them and you never feel like you're being judged by them. Kindred Spirits are always there for you, celebrating your achievements and encouraging you when things go horribly wrong. A Kindred Spirit is very intuitive, so much so, they can often finish your thought or sentence. Sometimes they know you better than you know yourself.
Upon first meet of a Kindred Spirit, you feel like you've known them your entire life. Kindred Spirits feel a genuine love for people. They relate on a very deep and soulful level. There's a fluency and ease to their relationships and they communicate effortlessly. And... Kindred Spirits never try to fit a square peg in a round hole.
Kindred Spirits have a wicked sense of humor and they're not afraid to show their playful side. They can be silly and serious in the same conversation, which is what makes them so lovable. They make you smile and you crave their presence. You always know where you stand with a Kindred Spirit as they tend to wear their heart on their sleeve. They are kind, considerate, respectful, courteous and caring human beings.
Kindred Spirits are highly sought after souls... when you find one, it's like finding a buried treasure. They exude joy and they make your life richer in every way. Do you know a few Kindred Spirits in the Rain? I do!
