J&D Contracting has done it again... proved they're THE most valuable members of my real estate team. They saved the day for me and my seller yesterday by going above and beyond reasonable expectations.
They arrived at my vacant listing in Annapolis MD to remove several items abandoned in the formerly tenant-occupied home scheduled for closing next week. The job would require them to saw large items into pieces to remove them, since storage closets now block access to the stairs for large pieces of furniture.
To their surprise, the power had been turned off since the previous day, when they visited the property to scope out the job and give me a price. But they didn't use "no power" as an excuse to go home and put off this job 'til another day; they knew I wanted it done prior to today's pre-settlement inspection. They didn't even call me to complain or find out if I could get by with their waiting a day or two.
What did they do that was so exceptional?
They sawed into pieces the couch, chair, love seat, and pool table you see in this photo, using hand tools - by the light of a flashlight - to get the pieces up the basement stairs and out for transit to the dump. That's not all, of course. They also hauled away a bunch of other stuff, too, before calling to tell me what they'd done.
Then they headed over to Bowie MD to make roof and attic repairs in another listing, also scheduled for a pre-settlement inspection today.
I highly recommend you contact J&D Contracting the next time you need a licensed home-improvement contractor in the greater Crofton area. Jimmy Furr (the "J" of J&D) can be reached at 301-440-8581. He and his crew were over-qualified for these jobs, but I'm so glad they were willing to take care of me and my clients - in spite of this unexpected turn of events yesterday.
