Educating the Buyers, "After the Sale"

By
Real Estate Agent with Dan Edward Phillips

All Real Estate Agents try to maintain contact with the clients they have sold a home to.  It is just 'good business' and you want your clients to refer you to their friends, co-workers etc.

In addition, keeping those clients updated on home maintenance is very important.  Many new home owners are not accustomed to maintaining the home that they have purchased.  Some have never owned a home before or lived in a 'family owned home'. Educating 'new owners' on home maintenance issues is important to them maintaining the value of their investment.

This can be accomplished via email, a blog, regular mail or all three.   It is also a good excuse to 'stop by' in person occasionally and deliver interesting printed material.  Suggestions of home owner tips on maintenance and inspections is important to new home owners and in many cases they will follow your advice.

It will also make a big difference if they decide to sell their home in the future.  There will be less for the home owner to do and they will show their appreciation of your advice by listing their home with you.
