Claim your Space no matter how big or small by New York City Feng Shui consultant
"If you have a single room that you share with another person, how do you "claim" that space?" This was a great question brought to Laura Cerrano Feng shui NY consultant's attention the other night. This is very interesting and if new to Feng Shui can seem a bit tricky...but, this is when the understanding of intention is very important.
If you think about it, we are always sharing our space and energy with someone or with a group of people. It becomes your choice with how open and how much you wish to be effected by their energy...this is key.
For small spaces if you have to share a desk, dorm or even healing room...be sure to claim your space.
1. For a shared desk, you could simply place a photo of your family and you for support or your business card or name to enhance your Fame. Your intention could be to make a presence and be appreciated in that office or for your voice to be heard.
2. If your sharing a dormitory room, be sure to set up your side with items that you love, words of inspiration, it's very important to keep it organized and envision a "protective bubble or shield" to set your energy apart from your roommates. Element of nature in the room are also strongly recommended...again to keep you grounded and focused for staying on task at college.
3. Sometimes healers will have to share one room...if that is the case, be sure to keep your healing tools in a "sacred area" that is just meant for you to touch. Once objects are touched they take on the energy of the other person. When it's time to preform a healing pull them out and when not keep them neatly stored away...perhaps even in a cabinet or basket.
