Article Bankruptcy & agreement gone astray.

This article was a bit shocking...it however reflects just how complex things are... I found it while stumbling around on Google trying to find some of the guidelines I had inquired about in moving forward & "dusting ourselves off".....instead I found this...

I think that it proves that the "mindset" is not even under control & people are going to be more & more afraid to commit as they have things like this happen while trying to do the right thing. Are there any others that have feedback?

Why are earth would this happen in an area where there is already so much vulnerability financially?

This goes right up there (& no offense to insurance agents), but why would the state vote for an increase in premiums when people can’t afford their mortgages as it is?? I find these challenges really tough for the future. I find it also a potential downfall for those coming of age to be on a “fixed income” if they are not already… It could be that it creates another wave…but I guess insurance could be a separate blog all together? It should never be that a person in Bankruptcy becomes a victim after going through all of that to protect their home’s agreement & their mortgage? I did watch the movie after the blog on Larry Crowne & what a GREAT movie it was!! I drove three counties to go and see it. There were so many messages in this movie and while he didn’t go bankrupt….he could not keep his home when the banks would not assist him. I know people that have presented their cases at least 6 times only to be presented with unaffordable options & were left without any choice. People are transferred, people are forced to retire, people become ill (especially now with all the stressors out there). A victim in an agreement with your mortgage going astray after having to file bankruptcy is just amazing to me to read. Interested to find if there are other cases? The other message I found in Larry Crowne was that it was okay to not forget the important things in life - family, principals, health, learning, community, neighbors, and love….the rest is superficial
