Endurance

Patricia,

We seems to be in parallel universes.  You are writing about endurance and we wrote about resiliency.  Great minds echoing similar thoughts.  When we lived in Los Angeles, we had deer that regularly visited the lower part of the property which was accessible through a gate.  They were fun to commune with as they brought their young.  One of our cats would actually hang out with them.  One of my treasures is a horn that I found as we were cleaning the paths.  I still have it and I love it.  Have a great day.  A

Patricia  Good quote .  Yesterday I was driving in the city not too far from one of the parks and there was a doe .She looked very frighted trying to get away from traffic. Oh how I wished I had not left my camera sitting on my desk . She did take refuge behind some foliage and trees . I could feel her fear . It was the middle of the afternoon . Luckily it was not a heavily trafficed road . I was Glad she found shelter .

Had a fawn in my backyard yesterday. Little white tail deer, but it wouldn't let me get within 100 yards before bounding away.

Your ability to write inspiring text based on your beautiful photography is amazing!  I wish I could express and inspire as beautifully and seemingly naturally as you do!

Beautiful photo Patricia - I love deer even when they eat my garden. They are such gentle creatures and you did a great job of capturing the moment!

They are such sweet and gentle creatures.

I could never eat one when my dad brought home deer meat. That's probably one of the reasons I don't eat meat. Can't do it - not creatures with soft brown eyes.

Patricia, Although our "deer friends" have eaten our veggie garden this year (our whole garden) we do enjoy watching them run through our yard ~ Great photo you have captured...as always!

Patricia, in a lot of Native American beliefs the deer is the "gentle spirit" and considered good luck.  Should one cross your path it is considered an omen.  It is no secret that you are a "Gentle Soul" with some of the wisdoms of the "Old Ones". A Blessing.

H Patricia, That was a great quote and an even better personal addition of what it means to you. Animals just know something instinctively that humans most often need to ponder and then often get wrong.:-)

Patricia - That's a sweet faced little doe.  I am amazed that your type of deer keeps their spots into adulthood.  We have White Tail and Mule Deer here.  They don't!  Isn't it wonderful when you encounter critters in the wild like this.  There is something about it that seems kind of spiritual when it happens.

How close were you when you took the picture?  I mean, did you zoom in, or were you really close.  Neat!

Very beautiful picture, and what a great quote to go with it!  Very inspirational.  I have never been a big fan of Faulkner, but I like this one.

Patricia, we do learn a lot from animals, how to trust, show caution, and love. Great shot, he must have seen trust in your eyes to allow you to take it!

Thanks for the Faulkner quote.  This brings back memories of my days as a college student when I would see William Faulkner walking on the grounds at the University of Virginia.
