Good morning, all. It is rare that I reblog a post. However this was an exceptionally well written piece by Patricia. It is one of those posts that should speak to all who participate in social media...

FriendSHIP

To be successful, people rely on social media and networking. Being sociable has many advantages. Blogging is a great way to tie the two together. People who blog and enjoy the social interaction between people develop friendSHIP, resources, technological assistance, ideas and a better way to do things to achieve success.

FriendSHIP is the vehicle that carries you forward. A good friend doesn't sink the ship but steers it forward when called upon. A friend will invite more people to jump on board as often as possible. They meet the challenges and enjoy the ride together in the spirit of friendSHIP. ActiveRain enlists people to join in the network. Once onboard, you will discover that networking is the direct result of the social media provided by ActiveRain which allows you to establish and reestablish contact with newbies and old acquaintances.

Enemy to None

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), American scientist, publisher, diplomat quoted the phrase, "Be sociable to many; familiar with few; friend to one; enemy to none."

In the spirit of friendSHIP members receive ongoing information about the business world, some may share the fabric of their soul, there could be laughter; there may be tears. Some may find the strength to face their fears. You'll discover lots of cheers, a willingness to help, stories about life experiences, travel adventures, challenges and learn about ways people overcome obstacles. Onboard you'll soon discover that kindness overflows and there is a genuine willingness to care and share.

Throughout our journey here on earth, most people want friends. Benjamin Franklin said be an enemy to none. This holds true across different countries and cultures. There comes a time in every human life when you might need a friend and burning bridges will not help you to achieve success or true happiness. It is usually impossible to achieve greater success with the gift of friendSHIP

Be a live saver; believe in friendSHIP inside and outside of ActiveRAIN.

I have often thought that if planned in advance I could travel across the nation staying in the homes of AR friends along the way and never have to pay for a hotel.
