Hi folks,
I woke up this morning feeling a huge responsibility to be as effective as possible today. I am leading an all day session for the agents in our Market Center . . . a session about "Lead Generating in a Shifted Market." Without question, I knew that this presentation would require 100% focus and intensity to communicate the vital importance of the topic. 25 Associates showed up this morning. Immediately, I saw in the group many levels of emotional energies . . . Some were excited at the opportunity to learn - Others were there in desperation . . . Looking for the magical salve that would "make it all better."
I walked into the room knowing that I HAD to be just shy of brutal. I see this day as being a day that can be a "Pattern Interrupt" for many of the participants. I know that if my message and abrupt and clear, a percentage of the people will find it within to effect change in their businesses and lives. My approach has been "unforgiving" in the sense that I have spent the past 2 1/2 hours leading them through a series of exercises - Each exercise forcing them to take an honest and candid look at their mindset and their ACTION.
We're at lunch break now, and I feel like that mission has been accomplished. The pattern is interrupted . . . This afternoon, we will take time to "rebuild" beginning with a very focused exercise to create personal "Value Propositions" . . . then moving into a "Business Planning" session . . . Then into a quick 441 (Goal Setting) session . . . Those who participate fully will walk out of the room with a do-able plan.

Writing that bit was all the therapy I needed to find my effective flow for the class today.
