What has happened over the last 10 yrears in Orange County, CA?  Did you know that we had 4 percent unemployment rate on 911 and now it is stuck at 9.3 percent.  We had 1.4 million jobs and now 1.36 million jobs or a loss of 4.2 percent.

Housing is 42 percent less by 11,000 units.  Median price has dropped for the 32 percent for detached homes and 51 percent for the attached homes.  The housing market is hurt but we are still resilient and will recover.  It is still a destination for people to live.

Welcome to almost anywhere USA.  The changes are amazing and the reality is, when adjusted for inflation, we haven't seen actual gains in anything green going into our bank accounts in 30+ years, or, since the 70s.

And, while some things today are better than the 70s and some are worse, our economy is certainly looking more and more like it did in the 1930s every day.  The difference was, back then, there was still some form of a gold standard on whic to rely.  Now, we could all be millionaires next year, but it could cost $10,000 for a jar of peanut butter.  Who knows what will be the end result of the government creating more paper money in the past few years than in the entire history of our 'republic'?

It is true inflation is just around the corner if they government continues to print money to pay for its debt.

David I agree that we are looking more and more like the 30s.  History knows about what happens look at Germany before Hitler.  They did what we are doing and it colapsed the country.

Check out the contraction of our money supply by the Federal Reserve (which is NOT part of the US Government), it was not an accident, it was a planned destruction.  Search YouTube, "Bill Still - the Secret of Oz" as well as the "Money Changers" they are about 120 and 180 minutes respectively, but will REALLY open your eyes if you are willing to learn what is really happening in this country!

Ron

This is one large mess at this point.  They cannot get the problem solved.
