Why use an ASHI Home Inspector (Phoenixville)?

Buying a home may be one of the most important purchases you'll ever make.  Fortunately, you can protect yourself by using a professional home inspector.  You want as much knowledge about the home before purchasing so you can rest assured that the roof will be fine for the next several years or that the crack in the foundation wall is harmless and won't be splitting your house in two someday.

So how do you find the best phoenixville home inspector for you?  Should you use an ASHI home inspector?

First, know that your home inspector in Phoenixville (or anywhere in Pennsylvania) is gavelrequired to be compliant with the Home Inspector Law in PA.  This law was setup to protect consumers.  One of the requirements is that the home inspector must be a full member in good standing of a national, not-for-profit home inspection association.  Home Inspectors must comply with a code of conduct and attend continuing professional education classes as an ongoing condition of membership.  The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) is one of these associations.

Why use an ASHI Home Inspector?

ashi certified inspectorI can tell you that as a Home Inspector in and around Phoenixville, I have belonged to 2 professional home inspector associations in the last decade.  I choose to stay with ASHI because of their higher standards and strict code of ethics.

ASHI home inspectors must pass what's considered the most rigorous technical examinations in effect today and perform 250 professional inspections (versus 100 inspections in other organizations) before they are allowed to call themselves "certified".

ASHI home inspectors follow the ASHI Standards of Practice on every home inspection and must also complete continuing education credits every year to enhance their knowledge and stay current with new technologies.

Of course, you should still do your homework because not all home inspectors are the same.  Look at the inspector's website, view a Sample Home Inspection Report, read about the home inspector's other qualifications, ask questions, and then choose the best Phoenixville home inspector for you!
