A LOCALISM POST FROM AFAR!

Turks & Caicos

This past week I have had the experience of a lifetime!  I have been in the Turks & Caicos Islands and have never had such a relaxing or beautiful vacation ever!  What a wonderful place, gracious people and views that can not be truly expressed via the written word.

One of the highlights from the week have been the horseback riding in the ocean via the Provo Ponies company.  We had a private 90 minute ride on a 4 mile secluded beach of which you could ride the horses chest deep for miles into the ocean.  The crystal clear water is surreal and the color is the most amazing thing you have ever seen.

The beach is soft and flat and there are beautiful conch shells scattered about.  Being on the back of these horses while riding along is an experience that everyone should enjoy at some point in their life.  Trying to decipher where the ocean ends and the sky begins is a challenge.

I am blessed beyond measure to have spent this week in paradise.  Great time of year to go as well.  Very low season so there are hardly any people!  Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Thanks to you all.   This really has been the most amazing vacation ever.  I would highly recommend this place.  I will be back.  Look for more blogs on this area to be forthcoming.  So gorgeous and one of the most relaxing vacations that I have been on.  So thankful for the rest.

Paula, when I saw this on your FB, I was utterly amazed. Wow is not a word. It's way beyond COOL, if you could find that world. I wouldnt actually thought of mixing water and a horse, much less being on one.
