As an Annapolis area Realtor I am always looking for new and different ways to meet people so when my daughter who owns a cake shoppe asked me to help her at a golf outing today I jumped at the chance. I was up and out the door by 7:30 and by 8 we were heading across the Bay Bridge to the Queenstown Harbor Golf Course just past the 50/301 split.
Upon arrival we were directed to the 10th tee where not only we had a table but there was a crab cake trailer and the open bar trailer there also. What luck in placement is that?? So we proceeded to set up and get ready for the tournament.
There were 280 golfers out today and our location was the perfect placement for bringing each one by our table not once but multiple times throughout the day. Cheryl had made 360 mini cupcakes, I brought coolies with my name all over them and we both brought business cards. We both headed home almost empty handed.
We met some incredible people today, learned a ton about marketing and were able to make some good contacts. It was one of those beautiful fall Maryland days where life itself aligned perfectly.
And with all we learned today the next time can only be better.
