What if prices continue to decline?

This question has come up with just about every client I have ever worked with.

In the end the question really does not matter.  When a house is bought, it is not for the price.  The reasons for buying a house go far beyond the price.

Ask yourself the following questions and you too will see that the price does not matter:

1.  WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU ABOUT BUYING A HOUSE? _________________

2.  WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU  ABOUT (INSERT THE ANSWER TO QUESTION #1 HERE) _____________

3.  WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU  ABOUT (INSERT THE ANSWER TO QUESTION #2 HERE) _____________

4.  WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU  ABOUT (INSERT THE ANSWER TO QUESTION #3 HERE) _____________

5.  WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU  ABOUT (INSERT THE ANSWER TO QUESTION #4 HERE) _____________

6.  WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU  ABOUT (INSERT THE ANSWER TO QUESTION #5 HERE) _____________

7.  WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU  ABOUT (INSERT THE ANSWER TO QUESTION #6 HERE) _____________

Typically the real answer is found somewhere in question 6 or 7.  Often you are fulfilling a much deeper feeling than you ever thought and in that case the price really has nothing to do with it.

What do you think?

You are so right about this.  I just had a client tell me they were underwhelmed with the local market and wanted to stop shopping.  I've started to get into dialog about what they want and it took a few questions to get down to the tip of what's really bothering them.

Bryan .. .I think that when the client feels like we are not selling than they open up more and get more comfortable with us
