I am always intrigued by numbers.  This Friday is Veteran’s Day but it is also 11.11.11.

 

My favorite time of the day is 11:11.  When I am looking at a digital clock, it looks like 5 ones.  I always seem to look up at the clock at 11:11 whether it is the middle of the day or at night before I go to sleep.


We hear lots of hype about 11.11.11.  There is even a movie called this that opens on 11.11.11.

 

Many people are planning to get married on 11.11.11.  I wonder if they are planning their ceremony for 11:11?

 

I’m sure there are lots of gamblers out there who will be heading to the casinos on 11.11.11.  I would predict that keno, roulette and blackjack will be very popular games.

 

I have always like the number eleven because I was born in the eleventh month (but not on the 11th).


There are many fun facts about the number eleven.  Here are a few:

 

 

The TV series MASH ran for 11 years with 11 main characters.

 

The TV show CHEERS ran for 11 years with 11 main characters

 

The first lunar landing was made by Apollo 11

 

World War I ended at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month

 

A rugby ball if 11 inches long

Hey Belinda -

I was born on the 11th day of a some month and I was 11 years old a long time ago.  That's about as much as I pay attention to all they 11-11 stuff.  I think we should celebrate every day and make it the best we possibly can.  So happy 11-9 -11 to you my friend :)

John,  The 11th day of what month???? You are right we should celebrate each and every day, but we can still be intrigued and curious about different dates... I'm glad you remember being 11.  It was so long ago for me, my memory can't sweep out the cobwebs to remember back that far.
