Live Highlands Ranch : What Are You Thankful For
There was a challenge on a blog site that I like to participate in this month, which is not only timely but very appropriate considering the season. The challenge was to write a blog post about that for which you are thankful.
It's really rather easy for us to answer this. Both Kathy and I are thankful for our beautiful niece and nephews. We were not lucky enough to have children of our own, but we are lucky enough to have a brother and sister-in-law who are more than happy to share their children with us.
Wesley is just about the nicest 15 year old boy you're going to find. He's good to his aunts, uncle and grandpa. He's a great big brother. He's funny and smart, though his grades might not demonstrate that! He's creative and has a you tube site with videos he makes with his friend Sean. He loves to play the guitar and dreams of being a rock star one day (ah, what 15 year old boy doesn't).
Kellen is ten and in the fifth grade. He is the sweetest, most polite boy you'll ever meet. He always holds the door open for others, says thank you and please. His manners are great. He is sweet, energetic, smart and just really nice. He and his little sister are inseperable. He is all boy and loves running and playing with his friends.
Kylie is eight and growing up so fast. Depending on the situation she is either all girl, or a tom boy. She loves clothes and dressing up. She also loves running around and roughhousing with Kellen. These two are so close you would think they were twins. She loves to read girly books like the Fairy series by Daisy Meadows. She likes to write, especially letters.
Thanks to the flexible schedule of real estate, Carrie has been able to spend a lot of time with the kids this school year acting as a tutor. It's a pleasure to help with science fair projects, book reports, dioramas, spelling tests, math papers, well, maybe not the math papers and anything else they need.
So, we've shared with you what we're thankful for, now it's your turn. Let us know what makes you thankful this week of Thanksgiving.
