Coral Springs Holiday Boat Parade is December 14th. The theme this year is "Anchors Aweigh" featuring Grand Marshal SpongeBob SquarePants. SpongeBob SquarePants is appearing courtesy of Nickelodeon and Advanced Cable Communications. When does the fun begin? It starts at 7:00 p.m. along Sample Road from Coral Springs Drive to City Hall. While viewing the parade along Sample road you'll be able to enjoy the local bands, entertainment, decorated floats, trailered boats and all other entries that have to do with this years nautical theme of "Anchors Aweigh". Each year in Coral Springs at Christmas time, we celebrate the city of Coral Springs with it's parade along Sample Road. It always proves to be great fun for young and old. This year before the parade, you're invited to join in the Family Fun Run along Sample Road. The run starts at 5:45 p.m. and is about 1.5 miles long and it's not just for the avid runner but for all ages and athletic abilities. Come join in the fun before the parade. Registration has already closed if you were thinking about running but you can certainly come and cheer on the runners. Or if you want to walk you can register right up to the day of the run: $20 for Adults $12 Children 17 and under
