Cross country skiing on Shadow Mountain

 

Not that you needed another reason, but Forbes magazine just rated the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort as the best ski area in the United States. 

 

4,139 vertical feet of uninterrupted downhill, an average of 450 inches of snow each year, and it's the lightest, fluffiest champagne powder you could ever want. Heaven on earth, come for a visit and stay as long as you like! I've been here since 1999, and it just gets better each year.

Hi Tim - I'm sad to say that I've never been to jackson Hole in the winter - only n the summer, and it was beautiful then.

Susan, I moved to Jackson so I could snowboard, but the summers are even better!

We have lots of sun, Michelle. And at our elevation, you can tan in 10 minutes.

Hi Jane. I think I've skied/snowboarded virtually every resort in Utah and Colorado. Jackson's the one for me, although I've had wonderful experiences at most of the other resorts.

Four hundred and fifty inches of snow each year? Holy moly! That's 37½ feet! I'd be buried six times over! LOL.

I'll be watching your Longhorns in football here in a couple of weeks right here in San Diego. I've had Holiday Bowl tickets for 13 years now.
