This looks very much like our tree. 20 years of family leaves a mark in our christmas tree collection
Tammy: I have a few themed trees but one special Christmas tree that is adorned with only ornaments my girls have made through the years. Love all the memories.
Hi Tammy, I have some of the ornaments that I hung on the tree when I was a a little girl. Check out the pink ornament on the far left in the back..looks very similar to your green on in the first picture! Probably bought in the mid sixties.
We always had a tree with memories when we were growing up, glad to see you've kept the tradition and didn't go with a "theme". Wonderful Tammy!
Good morning Tammy,
Your tree does have a theme "Memories of Christmas Past"..I love it!!! We have our first Christmas ornament also on our tree :).
Cindy- My mom still has the pink one on her tree. I bet they were the same. Purchased in 1965... my first Christmas.
I absolutely adore the nostalgic task of putting up the Christmas tree! It reminds me of ornaments collected and made from the past. Have a great Christmas!
Tammy, That is one of the fun things about this time of year, looking back and remembering great times from the past! Have a great Monday!
Tammy,
Christmas ornaments are as varied as the different countries and traditions they come from as well as the hands that create them. :)

There is something about hauling out those Christmas decorations each year, that can conjure memories from Christmas Past.
My gosh, Tammy, just looking at your ornaments brought back memories of those lovely mercury glass ball ornaments that we used to have when I was a child. They were so very fragile - and were incredibly nasty when they shattered - but were so beautiful on the tree! We put up a tree in our cottage each year and the only ornaments we use are ones we (or family/friends) have made or gifted to us. It's truly a tree of memories!
I have a few that Abigail made when she was very young including a paper angel she colored. I'll be kinda sad when she has a family of her own and I have to "share" some them with her, but that's what I'll do. I want her to have a "this was on my mom's first tree" story to tell.
Tammy,
Pretty! Thanks for sharing.
Merry Christmas!

Hi Tammy, Christmas is my favorite time of year and these memories are so wonderful. I love that you use a real tree. There is nothing that can compare to the fabulous fragrance.
Hey there Tammie, your tree is not mismatched-it is memories! Very pretty and a nice way to remember family and times past.
