I love Picnik and was disappointed that it was going away and I'm glad it had a twin! But, do you think that Google is planning a replacement product they just aren't announcing yet?
Todd- they're saying that they're going to bring some of the features of Picnik over to Google+ and I know Picasa will probably have or at least consider adding more features after Picniks funeral. Question is what features and when? In the meantime, this is a great replacement for Picnik and its users like me... and You! :-)
Hi Brad,
much appreciated, and will start playing with ir right away, it is becomming a real challenge to stay on top of all these thing, thanks for helping us all out, sharing.
Brad, thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. I was playing around with different solutions today and by far this is so close to Picnik....thank you. I've come to rely on Picnik all day every day and really was feeling down about loosing it. Thanks....Yeah!
For everyone that isn't Craig Rutman, this is useful information, Thanks
Thanks Brad I was starting to freak out a bit and ran across your blog today. You have always been so helpful to ActiveRainers! We miss you!
Hi Brad. Ed Silva re posted this and I was thrilled to catch it! Thanks for the information. I was really bumming about Picnik and have some hope thanks to you!
Hi Brad,
I am so excited to see your post. I am going to start using this site tonight. I tried the Google Picasa but do not really like it. This sounds like what I need to edit my pictures. Thanks so much. You are truly a lifesaver for us.
Thanks. I love Picnik and was hoping there was another similar site. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Brad,
Please take a look at this post:
http://www.bizjournals.com/boston/blog/startups/2012/02/pinterest-copyright-issues.html?ana=fbk&page=all
In the Pinterest agreement is says they can sell the photos and (among other things)
... you represent and warrant that: (i) you either are the sole and exclusive owner of all Member Content that you make available through the Site, Application and Services or you have all rights, licenses, consents and releases that are necessary to grant to Cold Brew Labs the rights in such Member Content, as contemplated under these Terms.
I'd imagine most of the photos I've seen so far are NOT individually owned, meaning most are repoductions from what I can see.
Hi Brad, I use the copyright symbol on my photos. Picnik allowed symbols. These others sites are not accepting symbols. I can get the copyright font to show up when I am typing but it will not adhere to the photo when saved. Any thoughts on this?
Thank you.
Gloria
Gloria - there's got to be a way to make this work, I'm in Texas at Agent ReBoot but when I get back home, I'd be happy to help you investigate this and find a solution. Please feel free to contact me next week and we can work on it togetrher. :)
Thank you Brad. Enjoy your time in Texas!

Hi Brad,
It's funny. I had just been on the Picnik blog - which sent me over to Google+ and several people were talking aout iPiccy. Apparently, they took the news that Picnik was closing as an opportunity to step up their game. The result, is that they have been adding features like crazy over the past few weeks - at least that's what I go from the thread. There is also PicMonkey - which is being started by former Picnik employees. It's not up yet, but something to keep a lookout for!
Hi Ruthmarie - actually PicMonkey has launched, I posted my review on its launch a couple days ago.
iPiccy is still my fav and closest to picnik.com though. I still use it almost everyday. Here's another fun little creation from the site before it shuts down in April. :-)
I love Picnik -- I just don't understand why it is goint away.. what's the real story?
Great question Joan, only time will really tell. :)
Brad, Thanks for the tip on iPiccy.com. I love what you did with your example. I'm going to try it out tomorrow.
Thanks Sharon - In Picnik's absence, I think you'll really like it.
