High Tea at a Euro-Asian bistro in a strip mall in Pasadena, Maryland? Yep, it works!
Since reservations for tea is required, I made our reservation on OpenTable.com, easy, peasy! We were greeted warmly and led to a table set with an eclectic mix of tea cups, ribbon wrapped cloth napkins and place settings. The menu included a wide variety of white, green, oolong, black as well as scented and flavored teas.
The girls each chose fruit blends and I decided on the Tiger Chai, a delicious blend of black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and black pepper. We each were presented with a steeping pot of tea.
We had the option of Afternoon Tea or High Tea. High Tea includes soup and salad (for just $5 more). We opted for the Afternoon Tea ($16), which for us, was more than enough. It included a variety of sandwiches, shrimp cocktail, scones (with jam and clotted cream), fruit, and desserts on a three-tiered server.
We all enjoyed sampling the goodies and acting like high society ladies!
I look forward to coming back again for Tea and to try out their regular lunch or dinner menu!
