Guess Who Came To Thanksgiving Dinner?

Last year, after contacting a real estate agent in Little Elm, I helped my daughter buy her first home.  Not taking time off this year, my hubby and I finally drove to Texas this week for Thanksgiving and to meet my new "to be" son-in-law's family.  What a Treat!  Everyone had a great time.  She made a wise choice on her home too.

My daughter had told me about how talented the family was.  Coming from a family of musicians, we never gave any thought to my "son's family" playing Rock and Roll in the early 60's.  While they were playing rock and roll, my daughter's father played country music.  Not a bad combination, don't you agree?  For you that are too young to remember, Western Union was one of their hit songs.

Have you figured out his name?  Hint:  My new "to be" son-in-law's father is the drummer.  By the way, there is a petition going around to induct them in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

My daughter and her boyfriend have been dating for 3 years.....getting married on January 1, 2008.

I guess that means you are "Almost Famous" like the movie with Kate Hudson about the young writer who wrote for the Rolling Stone Magazine. Have fun and like Vicky said -Enjoy the music.

You're going to have some wonderful holidays in the future, with so much music to share!  'Hope you enjoyed Texas - my daughter recently relocated there, as well, to the DFW area, and that's become my favorite place in Texas.

Vicky, thanks so much.

Lanre, imagine being around these bands back then.  I bet all the kids went crazy.

Missy, country music has always been my favorite.

Margaret, if only I could convince my daughter to move closer to home.  But I am just glad she's happy.
