Connecting Past and Present Marketing

How Utilize Social Networking

Social Media is The thing of today ain’t it? I can’t remember the last time I looked someone up in a phone book or flipped through a newspaper to see what’s on the market. Everything is online. So how do we best utilize this resource? Along with the avenue of the internet comes a cornucopia of ways to market yourself and your brand. It used to be face to face and word of mouth that we relied upon most for business… in fact there was a time that it was All we relied upon. So how do we combine these methods of marketing?

YouTube! Yes, YouTube. I found this awesome article in the Niche Report to back me up on this, “YouTube: Discover Powerful Secrets that can Help you Sell More” by Chainia Sarhrou. Video is a perfect middle ground of social media and attaching your face and voice to your brand. As Sarhrou eloquently puts it “there is something special about the connection that is made when someone sees your face, looks in your eyes, hears your voice and completely understands your words.”

Seeing as you can’t do this for every possible new lead, video is the way to get your message out to a bunch of people without having to leave your office. YouTube is, afterall, “the second most sought after search engine in the world, second only to its owner, Google”. This is also a great method to screen who comes to you for business. How many hours have You wasted on the phone answering the same questions only to find that these people are price or service shopping? I know I’ve had a countless amount of these calls.

My first tip to you would be to write down those questions you’ve been asked countless times and make a video answering them. This is a great way to weed through potential buyers and business leads and get down to Actual possibilities who are eager to move forward. So how do you begin your video? Below are some great places to start and things to consider.

What to Put in My Video

  • ·        The most commonly asked 10 questions answered, one video per question.
  • ·        Most common objections or fears one might have when deciding whether or not to work with you.

By utilizing these two methods “by the time you meet the prospect, all of their objections” and questions “have been addressed”. Not only this, but you’ve answered questions that your possible client may have not thought of!

Create Your YouTube Channel

  • ·        Optimize!: Do a simple keyword search to see what people may be looking for and tag your video/title your video with these keywords.
  • ·        Branding: Make your channel and your design memorable. You need to stand out as a trustworthy and workable option.
  • ·        Allow Comments: This way people browsing can feel like they’re interacting with you and you’re also getting feedback for your channel.

By setting up your YouTube Channel like this you’re optimizing the use of this avenue and could generate even more leads than if you had just set up an account.

Optimizing Your Video

  • ·        Title: always use a keyword, phrase or just a catchy title to catch your viewer’s attention. It’s also effective to use a key word or phrase, add a colon and then rephrase it. In this way you’ll be hitting two birds with one stone.
  • ·        Post Bulletins Everywhere: Get the link to this video and add it to blogs, daily posts, free ad websites, your own website.. there’s a thousand and one places to spread the word.
  • ·        Call to Action: Include one! Within your video have a call to action of what to do next like visit your website, give you a call, see more of your videos or blogs at a separate location.

Participating in optimization can only increase your business and link a face to the name and brand of your business.

All of this is good stuff to think of when filming a new video for your business to generate new leads. For the entire article click this link and read on. This one is full of helpful goodies. Happy marketing!
