Zipped To Grand Lake Region To List A Cottage Thursday And It Was A Bright Clear Day With New Fluffy New snow, northern maine, danforth, houlton, mooers realtySnow All Around! East Grand Lake is starting to skim over...with parts frozen and other parts looking chilly if you ever were thinking of joining the polar bear club.  Ice fishing, snowsledding, skating on lakes and ponds, sliding, alpine and cross country skiing...then sitting in front of a open fire drinking warm beverages as you feel oxygenated from a day in the crisp clean clear Northern Maine winter air.  How can you beat that? Come play in the snow...just dress accordingly and no reason to be cold!danforth maine, greenland cove boat launch, mooers realty

Hi Andrew,

What beautiful pictures!  What is the average winter temperature there?  I have not yet been to Maine but do intend on getting there.

You are so lucky!  Here on Cape Cod, we very rarely get snow in December.  I would LOVE to havea white Christmas!!  But, then come February, I wish it were 80 degrees!

Leslie...average temperature in winter is 19 degrees.  We get white fluffy snow...not freezing rain like areas affected by the ocean. Dry cold with no humidity I tell folks! I think in your areas you might get some freeszing rain from time to time...being damp and cold/wet is no fun.  Four seasons in Northern Maine.  Book that cruise for something to look forward to!   Tom..i am lucky to be in Houlton Maine.  Glad to be here and Merry Christmas to you partner!

Rick...didn't see you behind the cracker barrel there.  Rhode Island...I have never met a person I did not like from Rhode Island. Neat state, friendly folks, just too close to Boston and where did all these people come from ? (looking around).  Remember a neat family from Cranston that took myself and another actor from the high school drama club into their homes, went to an italian restaurant, waited a hour in the rain.  It was worth it.  Nice folks and we won the New Englands at URI. It was fun and taught me to open up our home to youth from other areas when we can!
