Reach for Zero Waste Asheville: I got a notice in the mail the other day. It is the kind of notice I can get excited about! Good News from the Sustainability Outreach Program at the City of Asheville Office of Sustainability. We are going to be seeing new collection buckets on trash/recycling day!! YES!!!
As part of: the public education for Reach for Zero, Asheville: Zero Waste AVL the brand new recycling program and waste reduction efforts, zero waste concepts and tools, and what citizens can do to “Reach for Zero,” Laura Piraino, Sustainability Specialist will be joining the get-together at Green Drinks to share more about this effort.
It should be an interesting evening, given Laura's wealth of knowledge. . .
Laura 's knowledge is deep: Beside her work for Reach for Zero Waste Asheville, her background includes program development for sustainability outreach education and marketing, and the Blue Ridge Sustainability Institute, The Sierra Club, Penn State University Center for Sustainability,
as well as offered services through her own consulting firm, Post Carbon Services of Asheville, LLC.
