People love gifts! You would be surprised how little it takes to make people feel as though they have received something really special.
Two years ago I put together a small "St. Patrick's Day" gift for the members of my BNI group as part of my presentation. It was a huge hit....
It's something that you could do for any type of presentation where you want to make a lasting impression.
I purchased "lucky" plastic coins at Joanne Fabric. There were 24 to a package. They were on sale for $.99. You could use any type of "lucky" token readily available this time of year.
I printed out my L.U.C.K message on business card stock and attached to small envelopes which had my contact info stamped on the back.
A lucky coin was placed inside each envelope.
The purpose of my presentation was reminding the group that I needed them to be watching for the opportunity to provide my name to people who could use my home staging services.
As I handed out the envelopes I said:
"In honor of St. Patrick's Day, I have a good luck charm for each of you. Inside the envelope is more than just a good luck token, it is a reminder to always be LISTENING for the opportunity to help others have a better UNDERSTANDING of how my CREATIVITY and KNOWLEDGE can help them to have better LUCK at selling their house."
People like gifts, no matter how small. Opening the envelope was like opening a gift. I was really surprised at how excited they were to receive their coin. Many people won't throw away a token of luck so this gift could stay with them for awhile.
One of my recipients used the idea for a promotion at her restaurant and another thought it would make a fun gift for her daughter's classmates.
It certainly can't hurt to have people carrying around a lucky charm that they associate with you...and your business!
