This is it, Maple Open House Weekend in New Hampshire, the biggest weekend of the year in Maple Syrup and Maple Sugaring.

This weekend (March 24 and 25, 2012)  is the biggest weekend of the year for maple syrup producers all across the region --Its called  Maple Open House.

Sugarhouses in New Hampshire are open for visitors to come see how maple syrup is made, have samples, and visit.

Check out all of the participating sugar houses here, its nicely organized by county so you can visit more than one!

I have read that the producers of maple syrup are concerned about the sap flow this hear. The warmer weather and short winter this year will all have an effect.

Rene, I have to admit that panecakes and maple syrup is a weakness of mine.  I heard the same thing about low syrup production this year because of the weather...I guess that means prices are going up.
