Oysters and Real Estate Share Common RI Territory.

What can I say except that the sweetest tasting oysters are ‘grown’ in the waters of Rhode Island.  They are part of our growing shellfish industry

RI Oysters and RI Real Estate

Sweet tasting RI Oysters

which is a budding local explosion of business here.  It supports many people, the people support other local businesses which ultimately provides these people with the income to buy RI Real Estate.  We are all so interconnected in our businesses.

Well my terrific electrician, owner of Moonstone Electric, brought me a bag of fresh and delicious home grown RI oysters.  Her husband, Graham Brawley, is the director of sales and marketing for the Ocean State Shellfish Cooperative.  This cooperative helps the RI oyster farmers a supported way to market their shellfish well while they tend to the business of oyster beds and harvesting.  Now you can say I have an in!

Many oyster farmers have come together collectively to form a co-op to sell there product and therefore have marketing and sales power.  It is wonderful to see the thriving oyster business that is being seeded in our Narragansett Bay and around our RI coastline by these entrepreneurial oyster farmers!

They are practicing sustainable aquaculture

which is wholeheartedly supported by locals far and wide in Rhode Island and in many other states.  Keeping the natural and healthy farming of our RI waters going is their mantra.  Thank you for sharing part of the harvest with me today.

There is nothing as good as the sweet RI oyster!  If  you have not tried a local oyster you are missing a mouth watering taste- personally I can tell the difference now in where the oysters are harvested on our coastline …those are my sweet taste buds at work.  Support and buy local oysters and other products to keep the local economy going and growing.  Oysters and Real Estate Share Common Rhode Island Territory.

We own a second home in Marshfield MA. We're here for a long weekend and as luck would have it, we had dinner with friends at a restaurant that were offering RI osters on the menu. Nothing like them, as you said.

Thank you for sharing the post with all of us.
